This place is a message... and part of a system of messages... pay attention to it! Sending this message was important to us. We considered ourselves to be a powerful culture. This place is not a place of honor... no highly esteemed deed is commemorated here... nothing valued is here. What is here was dangerous and repulsive to us. This message is a warning about danger. The danger is in a particular location... it increases towards a center... the center of danger is here... of a particular size and shape, and below us. The danger is still present, in your time, as it was in ours. The danger is to the body, and it can kill. The form of the danger is an emanation of energy. The danger is unleashed only if you substantially disturb this place physically. This place is best shunned and left uninhabited.

PROJECTS:

None that are currently public! (Aside from this site...)

ARTISTS I ENJOY:

mme48151 - bold and creative color choices, loose linework, an interesting style, and overall eye catching pieces. One of my favorite artists! Something about their work is insanely captivating to me. (Skeb page is linked, which links to their socials)
DEPPA - Bold line art and dynamic compositions with great use of limited palettes.
LAM - Colorful anime art with graphic design inspiration. Popular for a reason!
Kicdoc - LOVELY and expressive character designs.
Pakosun - His Live2d model art has (seemingly) mixed reception, but I find his illustrative work striking.

YOUTUBE CREATORS:

Jacob Geller - One of, if not my absolute FAVORITE video essayist - talks about games, history, politics, art, and more. Usually all at once.
Brian David Gilbert - Internet funny man but so much more than that.
elliotisacoolguy - Graphic designer making quirky graphic design content, among other things. I like his personality, and his videos are well put together.
hbomberguy - Informative video essays with a silly, high energy approach. Classic.

COOL SITES:

Nirakul Archives - Breathtaking site created & maintained by one of my favorite online artists, TANSAE. Cannot reccomend exploring it enough.
Project Gutenberg - Over 70,000 free eBooks! Focused mostly on older, classic works for which U.S. copyright has expired. Get reading!
KIDPIX ONLINE - In-browser recreation of Kid Pix, complete with silly sounds.
Queering the Map - Counter-mapping art piece for digitally archiving queer experience in relation to real locations. You can drop pins with your own stories, and click around to read others. The world is full of us!
Holotypic Occlupanid Research Group - Archives the years of work gone into classifying occlupanids. If you've found one not in the HORG database, you can even mail it in to be classified!
Deadmalls.com - A site dedicated to dead and dying malls, complete with a dictionary of dead mall terms. Welcome to retail history!
Zenius Arcade Cabinet Map - Looking for a specific arcade cabinet? Find the nearest one with this community-built map! Useful for rhythm games. (The nearest maimai cabinet is over an eight hour drive from me!)
Motherfucking Website - A website that isn't overdesigned. Links to a defunct hosting platform but I like the thesis.
Zombo.com - You can do anything at Zombo.com, anything at all, the only limit is yourself.

BROWSER EXTENSIONS I USE:

uBlock Origin - Not just an ad blocker but a wide-spectrum content blocker. If you're not using it already, start.
SponsorBlock - Skip sponsorships on YouTube. I don't care if I like the guy delivering the ad, it's still a fucking ad!
Privacy Badger - Automatically learns to block invisible trackers. (My site's hit counter won't display with it enabled, but that's fine. Disable if you want to see it - or don't if you'd rather not.)
Tree Style Tab - Too many tabs? No problem. Just display them vertically, like a tree. Ever wanted to nest and organize your tabs? Now you can. This is my obsession.
Google Docs Dark Mode - Stop killing your eyes when writing on desktop.

CLIP STUDIO BRUSHES:

Caspar Pen - Textured brush. I like to use it for lineart.
SU-Cream Pencil - Chalk brush. Fun to color with, but the example given is linework so I guess that was the intention.
Battlefield Dust Brush - Specs of dust with interesting organic shapes. Makes a great addition to the foreground/background of pieces to fill space.
Senpen - Interesting brush for lineart. It's rough, but has this almost airbrushed transparency/blur around it that lifts the stroke. Not sure how to explain it but I use it on occasion.
Color Changing Brush - Paint brush that changes the hue slightly with each stroke. I love using this in more painterly pieces. (Even if I like to hand pick hue variance too...)
Splatter Paint Brushses - Adds a nice rough, splatter texture. Good for use in big areas or abstract backgrounds.
Soro Glitter Pen - Fun glitter pen for adding some nice sparkle to an area
